Assessments
Know leaders baffled by how and why others work differently than they do? Validated assessments could bring tremendous value!
Why Use Assessments?
Reviewing assessments that identify your own style and participating in training which helps you understand other styles improves self-awareness and builds stronger, more positive internal and external relationships. Here are some ways to benefit from assessments:
- Professional Development
- Management Effectiveness
- Team Building
- Interviewing/Selection Tool
- Sales/Client Relations
And let’s face it…what people learn by using this tool and completing the training often helps improve their personal relationships as well, which leads to greater focus and productivity in the workplace.
Which Assessments Are Available?
Magnet Culture offers the following assessments (and more), and we recommend using one, two, or all three of the below options for creating stronger leaders and teams.
DISC = Behaviors
The most effective people are those who understand themselves, both their strengths and weaknesses, so they can develop strategies to meet the demands of their environment. This report measures the four dimensions of normal behavior: dominance, influence, steadiness, and compliance.
Driving Forces = Motivators
Knowledge of an individual’s motivators explain why a person behaves a certain way. This report measures the primary driving forces cluster to tell a story of how a person derives meaning from life and work.
EQ-i = Emotional Intelligence
Understand one’s surroundings and how to read the room is critical in today’s business environment. This instrument is used to determine personal development, emotional intelligence, and emotional and social competencies.
How Do We Get the Most Out of Our Assessments?
Well, you can just read the reports, but assessments aren’t best utilized when they are provided as stand-alone documents. And they aren’t likely to change a person’s behavior until that person knows how to properly read and interpret the results. That’s where training comes in!
Offering Magnet Culture’s interactive management and team-building training programs covering the DISC and Driving Forces assessments, for example, ensures everyone can implement changes to work more effectively with others.
Our training sessions teach how to:
- Identify One’s Own Style
- Identify Others’ Styles
- Communicate Effectively with All Styles
- Adapt One’s Style When Necessary
- Maximize the Effectiveness of Different Styles on a Team
